Recovery Officer

As a Recovery and Collection Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the recovery and collection process efficiently. You will maintain accurate records of recoveries, outstanding amounts, and follow-ups. Additionally, you will handle defaulted chits by collaborating with the legal team to escalate cases when necessary. Your role will involve negotiating with defaulting customers to prevent legal actions and settle disputes amicably. Managing terminated chits will be a crucial aspect of your job, ensuring that terminated chit members fulfill their financial commitments. You will also address customer grievances and disputes related to terminated chits. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships will be essential to prevent future defaults and enhance customer satisfaction. Collaboration with internal teams such as accounts, legal, and marketing departments is imperative. You will work closely with these teams to ensure accurate records, legal compliance, and analysis of customer behavior to minimize defaults. Providing regular reports to management on collection status, default cases, and recovery progress will be part of your routine tasks. Compliance and documentation play a vital role in this position. You must ensure that all collections are properly documented and acknowledged with receipts. Adhering to company policies, RBI/NBFC/Chit Fund regulations, and ethical recovery practices is crucial. Maintaining the confidentiality of customer financial data is paramount. To excel in this role, you should possess strong negotiation and persuasion skills, a good understanding of chit fund operations and financial recovery laws, and the ability to handle tough conversations with professionalism. Willingness to travel extensively for field visits, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. A basic knowledge of legal procedures related to recovery is also required. This is a full-time position with day shifts, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
