Reconciliation Analyst

Role Overview: Allica Bank, the UK's fastest-growing financial technology firm, is seeking a Reconciliation Analyst to join their Finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate recording of the Bank's transactional activity during a phase of rapid growth. Key Responsibilities: - Manage daily reconciliation of Bank Accounts - Perform primary investigation on the unreconciled items - Communicate variances to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner - Use data analysis to explain, investigate, and resolve errors and discrepancies - Lead discussions to proactively resolve outstanding issues - Build and implement additional reconciliations as needed - Assist in testing and implementing automated bank reconciliations - Support the year-end audit process and work closely with external auditors - Collaborate across the finance function for month-end processes and ad hoc projects Qualifications Required: - Qualified/semi-qualified CA/ACCA or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience for Qualified and 2-3 years for semi-qualified - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve variances - Proven experience in reconciling high-volume transactions - Excellent data analysis skills to interpret and manipulate data/reconciliations - Ability to work autonomously and within a team - Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure - Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel - Good understanding of accounting principles and practices - Experience working in FinTech/Banking/Financial Services industry is desirable - Experience with AI tools for process improvement and automation is desirable - Experience with Automated Reconciliation tools would be an advantage Additional Company Details: Allica Bank values its employees and offers benefits such as full onboarding support, flexible working options, regular social activities, pension contributions, discretionary bonus scheme, private health cover, life assurance, and family-friendly policies including enhanced Maternity & Paternity leave.
