Department Description The Finance & Treasury function covers a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities for the Bank. Under the leadership of the CFO and the finance department heads, the team is responsible for equity raising and investor relations; treasury and liquidity management; prudential risk and regulatory reporting; financial reporting and accounting, financial planning, and tax management activities. Role Description We are looking for a Finance Systems Accountant to join our Financial Control team at an exciting phase of our growth journey. The successful candidate will help shape the technology landscape used with Allica’s finance function, supporting the development of existing systems (e.g. Oracle NetSuite) and the implementation of new systems/automation, enhancing processes and controls, improving our reporting capabilities as well as supporting the development of our finance data strategy. The role would suit an individual who has a strong blend of accounting and systems experience, with previous exposure to NetSuite or other Oracle applications. Principal Accountabilities Ownership of the technology related configuration and administration within finance system applications, including user access provision, change management, chat of account/metadata management etc. Enhance and maintain financial reports/dashboards from NetSuite and other finance applications, supporting the provision of insightful KPIs to finance teams and the wider business. Lead on system related testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing where required for new configurations and enhancements. Support on new finance technology projects and wider automation efforts Act as the primary point of contact between finance, third party suppliers and Allica’s wider technology function. Identify and implement improvements to finance system processes and controls, including workflows, reconciliations, month-end close activities etc. The provision of training and other support to other finance, promoting best practice use of our finance system applications. Support financial reporting and month-end close activities by ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of system-generated data and reports. Ownership of finance system related governance, including the preparation of documentation and process notes, as well as ensuring the auditability of workflow approvals. Personal Attributes & Experience Strong, demonstratable previous experience in similar roles or strong system experience gained through a broader finance role. The successful candidate must have previous finance or accounting experience. Previous experience of working in a fast-growing company, preferably in FinTech or Technology industries. A genuine passion for driving technology enabled improvements and change. You will be an integral part of an action orientated, fast moving team, responsible for successfully delivering a robust business controls First Line of Defence capability within the bank. Role Description Supports the Business Risk and Controls Team in delivering the risk & control management program, including conduct and operational related risk. Responsibilities include: Performing analysis and identifying trends from risk management and internal control data, creating reporting for internal and external use, including for the Bank’s Risk Management Committee. Providing administrative support to Business Risk & Control Team led projects and initiatives to drive improvements to key processes and controls, including tracking of deliverables and agreed actions. Building relationships with risk and control owners to support the identification, assessment, monitoring, measurement, and reporting on risks, controls, mitigation activities and key risk indicators. Supporting business areas with day-to-day risk questions regarding risk management and internal control processes, including management of the team mailbox. Managing the Business Risk and Control Team’s suite of procedures, ensuring they are refreshed in accordance with agreed review periods. Principal Accountabilities Provide hands-on support across the bank from a First Line Business Risk and Control Team perspective, supporting the management of risks, controls, risk mitigation, and KRIs. Support with ongoing active management of risk and embedding of the Risk Management Framework, including supporting RCSAs, risk events, issues and control testing. Support the Business Risk & Control Manager(s) through coordinating Business Risk and Control Team initiatives, responding to business queries, and maintaining team procedures. Support the ongoing monitoring and reporting of risk through relevant governance, including analysis and interpretation of risk management and internal control data, and conducting deep dive reviews into thematic issues. Deliver accurate risk management and internal control reporting, through use of the Bank strategic risk management solution.
