Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team at Akshatha Healthcare. The Receptionist is the primary point of contact for residents, their families, visitors, and external callers, and plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and well-organized front desk operation. This individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintain confidentiality, and be adept at multitasking in a demanding environment. Key Responsibilities: Front Desk Operations: Greet all visitors, residents, and callers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls promptly, direct calls to the appropriate personnel, take accurate messages, and handle inquiries efficiently. Manage the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, presentable, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Operate office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax machines, and copiers. Visitor Management: Check in and direct visitors to residents' rooms or designated areas, ensuring proper protocols are followed (e.g., visitor sign-in/sign-out logs, infection control measures). Communicate visitor arrival/departure to relevant staff as needed. Administrative Support: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Maintain accurate visitor logs, phone logs, and other front desk records. Assist with basic data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as required. May assist with scheduling appointments or coordinating tours for potential residents/families (if applicable). Communication & Information: Serve as a central point for disseminating non-confidential information to residents, families, and staff. Relay messages accurately and promptly to residents and staff. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding resident information and facility operations. Emergency Response: Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, alarms, or distressed residents/callers by following established emergency procedures. Contact emergency services (e.g., paramedics, police) as necessary and communicate the situation clearly to internal staff. May be required to perform basic first aid or CPR (certification may be preferred or required). Teamwork & Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members, including nursing, administrative, and support teams. Relay information to appropriate departments (e.g., maintenance requests, dietary needs). Language: Kannada, English & Hindi
