Job Description

A Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact, responsible for guest check-in/out, managing reservations (phone, online), handling payments, answering calls, resolving complaints, providing local info, and coordinating with staff (housekeeping) to ensure a positive guest experience through excellent customer service and administrative skills, using hotel software for bookings and records.  Key Responsibilities:  Guest Services: Greet guests warmly, provide information, assist with requests (wake-up calls, transport), and resolve complaints professionally.  Reservations: Manage bookings, cancellations, and modifications via phone, email, and walk-ins; assign rooms.  Check-in/out: Process guest registration, issue keys, prepare bills, take payments (cash/card), and handle check-outs efficiently.  Communication: Answer multi-line phones, transfer calls, take messages, and liaise with other hotel departments.  Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate guest records, update booking systems (PMS), manage front desk appearance, and handle basic bookkeeping.
