R&D Team Leader

As a leader of the power quality R&D team at Hitachi Energy, your role will involve focusing on software, communications, and digital solutions. You will be working with a team of skilled developers and technical experts in the Grid & Power Quality Solutions department, reporting to the Global R&D Manager for Power Quality. This position offers a global and cross-functional environment that is at the forefront of technology. **Key Responsibilities:** - Coach and guide your team towards achieving business targets - Drive continuous improvements and operational development - Take ownership of developing team competence and work processes - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity **Qualifications Required:** - University degree in a relevant field such as electrical, software, or industrial engineering - Background and understanding of software and/or firmware from industry applications - Experience with Cyber Security requirements is a plus - Experience in power systems, particularly FACTS/HVDC/Substations, and in SW/control/digital solutions is advantageous - Knowledge of MACH, MicroSCADA, IEC61850 is preferred - Fluency in English, both written and spoken At Hitachi Energy, we are a global technology leader in electrification, focusing on innovative power grid technologies with digital solutions.
