R&D Senior Executive (Cosmetics)

We are looking for an experienced R&D professional to lead the development of herbal cosmetic and personal care products from concept to launch. The role involves creating innovative, safe, and effective formulations, improving existing products, and ensuring compliance with cosmetic regulations. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with creativity and leadership skills to drive innovation at SDH Naturals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of herbal cosmetic and personal care products such as creams, lotions, serums, face washes, shampoos, hair oils, and scrubs.
• Improve and optimise existing herbal cosmetic formulations for better performance, texture, stability, and sensory appeal.
• Research ingredients, botanical extracts, and actives for skin, hair, and body care applications.
• Conduct lab trials, stability testing, and scale-up activities in coordination with production.
• Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, and other cosmetic regulatory standards.
• Maintain detailed formulation records, technical data sheets, and product specifications.
• Collaborate with marketing, quality, and production teams for successful product launches.
• Monitor global beauty trends, competitor products, and consumer insights to inspire innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Herbal Cosmetic Science / Pharmacy / Chemistry / Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in herbal cosmetic R&D (skin care, hair care, or personal care).
• Strong knowledge of formulation science, raw materials, preservatives, and emulsions.
• Experience in toothpaste formulation development, including understanding of oral care ingredients, abrasivity standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with regulatory documentation, stability studies, and product safety testing.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
