R&D Image Sensor Head (Semiconductor)

Role Overview: Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group, specializing in manufacturing precision components. As a part of this innovative company, you will lead a team to develop and transfer CMOS Image Sensor technologies for various nodes. Working closely with the Business/Product team, you will manage project phase gates and optimize technology parameters like Quantum Efficiency and Pixel Size. Your role will also involve designing test chips, maintaining core CMOS transistor performance, and collaborating with customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team to develop and transfer CMOS Image Sensor technologies for different nodes ranging from 28nm to 180nm - Create financial/business justifications for projects in collaboration with the Business/Product team - Manage project phase gates effectively - Build and lead a diverse team with different talents - Optimize technology parameters such as Quantum Efficiency, Pixel Size, Cross-talk, and Dark current - Design and layout test chips for device/technology optimization and SPICE model extraction - Assist in SPICE model and design kit creation - Maintain core CMOS transistor performance for enabling 3T/4T pixels and array designs - Work with designers to specify competitive arrays - Interface closely with customers throughout the technology development cycle - Deliver presentations to customers, peers, and executives - Travel as required Qualifications: - M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent - Strong understanding of CMOS and eNVM device physics, process modules, yield improvement, failure mechanisms, and analytical techniques - Proven leadership qualities in managing technical teams and assisting in their development - Deep understanding of CMOS Image Sensor technologies and process modules - Familiarity with color filter coatings - Ability to work in cross-functional teams and meet project completion timelines and cost targets - Experience in collaborating with different cultures and geographies - Innovative and competitive mindset Additional Details: Tata Electronics (a subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt.
