R&D Chemist (Personal & Skincare Only)

As an R&D Chemist at our company, you will be responsible for all aspects of formulation product development, including formula development, sourcing of new raw materials, sample preparation, costing, and overseeing process scale-up. You will work on multiple projects designing experiments to support product development and stability testing with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new personal care and cosmetic products for the hospitality and retail industries - Work on existing products and engineer formulas for high-quality products like shampoos, conditioners, face washes, and lotions - Perform stability testing to ensure products meet industry standards - Collaborate with the Sales team to address customer-specific market needs and expectations - Coordinate effectively with QC, Production, and Sales teams to increase sales, maintain product quality, and ensure competitiveness - Seek new and innovative ways to improve products and processes, with a focus on increasing renewable content and optimizing batch processes - Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all staff by enforcing standards and procedures Qualifications Required: - BSc/Master's in Chemistry, Ch. Eng., or equivalent science degree - Minimum of 5 years of development experience in product development, formulation, innovation, or related roles, preferably in a cosmetic manufacturing environment - Excellent technical knowledge of chemical products and raw materials - Ability to work independently, lead projects, and organize complex projects involving various departments and stakeholders - Demonstrated track record of bringing new products to market and improving existing products - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset - Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills - Must be a team player, technically competent, and flexible to work in a fast-paced environment - Liquid cosmetic/personal care formulation experience is preferred In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, our company offers benefits such as cell phone reimbursement, internet reimbursement, and paid sick time.
