Job Title: Radio Survey - Service Engineer

Experience Required: 1–4 Years (Shipping/Marine Industry Preferred)

Location: — Vishakhapatnam, Kolkata.

Job Summary

The Radio Survey Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, surveys, and testing of marine communication and navigation equipment. The role ensures that all equipment complies with regulatory, class, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1) Conduct radio surveys on vessels as per IMO, SOLAS, and Class regulations.

2) Inspect, test, and verify the performance of communication and navigation equipment (VHF, MF/HF, AIS, EPIRB, SART, Radar, SSAS, LRIT, NAVTEX, etc.).Prepare accurate and timely inspection reports, checklists, and certificates.

3) Coordinate with vessel crew, surveyors, and classification societies during inspections. Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.Ensure all equipment testing tools are calibrated and maintained properly.

4) Maintain documentation, certification records, and survey logs.Support service engineers with troubleshooting when required.

5) Ensure compliance with safety standards while working onboard vessels.Skills & Competencies

6) Strong knowledge of marine communication and navigation equipment.Familiarity with IMO, SOLAS, GMDSS, and Class requirements.

7) Good understanding of documentation, certification, and inspection procedures.

8) Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

9) Ability to work independently and onboard ships.

Qualification:-

1. Diploma / Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Marine, or related field.

2. GMDSS certification or marine electronics background preferred.

3. Indian GOC is compulsory.

Pay: ₹10,244.15 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
