As a Digital Design Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying an FPGA-based acceleration platform used in low latency algorithmic trading at AlphaGrep. Your primary role will involve closely collaborating with the FPGA design team to develop and implement verification strategies, testbenches, and debugging solutions for the FPGA-based accelerators. Your main duties will include planning and executing unit, system, and board level functional and performance verification of FPGA accelerators and their sub-modules using UVM and FPGA debug tools. You will be tasked with developing verification strategies, capturing specifications, creating test plans, and documenting verification processes. Additionally, you will be required to build reusable testbenches using UVM, develop SystemVerilog models, and verify key functionalities of the design on FPGA before deployment. To excel in this role, you should possess a degree in electronics or an engineering-related field and have at least 2 years of experience in Design Verification using UVM, preferably in the communications industry. Strong analytical and debugging skills are essential, along with the ability to create stimulus, checkers, and cover-points for design verification. Knowledge of digital hardware design, experience in developing UVM-based testbenches, and proficiency in documentation are also required. Desirable qualifications include familiarity with software, processor architecture, digital communications protocols, and networking experience. Experience in debugging FPGAs using tools like QuestaSim, Xilinx ISE/EDK, and proficiency in scripting languages such as tcl and perl would be advantageous.
