Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer

As a Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer at our reputed company in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in the Quantity Surveying / Cost Management department. With 2-3 years of experience in the interior industry, you will be responsible for tasks such as cost estimation, budget control, material procurement, and contract administration. Your strong understanding of project costing, BOQ preparation, and vendor management will be essential in ensuring cost efficiency and project profitability. Your key responsibilities will include preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents, along with analyzing project specifications, drawings, and requirements for accurate cost planning. You will evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement, monitor project budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, conducting site visits to track material usage, wastage, and cost variations, as well as assisting in contract administration and collaborating with design and execution teams will be part of your role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the interior or construction industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost management software, as well as strong negotiation and vendor management skills, will be necessary. Your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication and teamwork skills will further contribute to your success. Experience working on high-end interior projects, knowledge of FIDIC contracts and legal aspects of construction, certification in cost management or related areas, and an understanding of sustainable and value engineering practices are preferred qualifications that could enhance your candidacy.
