Quality Supervisor

Job Opening: Quality Supervisor – Foundry Industry

Location: Ludhiana, Punjab
Industry: Cast Iron / Ductile Iron / Alloy Steel Foundry

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and control foundry quality operations from raw material to finished casting.
• Ensure compliance with ISO / customer quality standards and internal SOPs.
• Monitor sand testing, metal chemistry, pouring parameters, and casting inspections.
• Conduct in-process and final inspection of castings.
• Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain and review quality records, inspection reports, and traceability documents.
• Coordinate with production, melting, moulding, and machining teams to improve quality.
• Ensure proper use and calibration of testing instruments and lab equipment.
• Support internal & external audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality & Testing Knowledge Required

• Sand testing (GFN, moisture, permeability, compression strength)
• Chemical analysis & spectrometer understanding
• Visual inspection, dimensional checks & defect identification
• Understanding of foundry defects (blowholes, shrinkage, sand drop, cold shut, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of SPC, 7 QC tools, PPAP, and documentation

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.Sc in Mechanical / Metallurgy or related field
• Experience: Fresher or experience in foundry quality supervision (Machine moulding / Hand moulding)
• Strong understanding of foundry processes & quality systems
• Good communication and team-coordination skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
