The QA Manager will lead the Quality Assurance function at the plant, ensuring all products meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality benchmarks. This role involves implementing and maintaining quality management systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing audits, and leading the QA team to achieve zero-defect production and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of quality systems in plastic packaging manufacturing and be committed to driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
1. Monitor and control product quality at post-operation stages to ensure conformance to specifications.
2. Monitor and oversee inspection of incoming materials, in-process components, bought-out items, and finished assemblies.
3. Coordinate inspection activities at sub-contractor locations as per purchase and quality requirements.
4. Investigate and analyze quality problems, identifying root causes and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
5. Supervise product validation and ensure timely release of specifications and approval documentation.
6. Analyze customer complaints and feedback; initiate CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and maintain communication with the customer.
7. Oversee the control and disposal of non-conforming products as per defined procedures.
8. Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO / GMP / BRC-IOP standards. 9. Coordinate with customers for new product developments, modifications, and specification updates.
10.Work closely with customer quality teams to address and resolve online quality issues promptly.
11.Conduct supplier audits and vendor evaluations to ensure incoming product quality and compliance.
12.Lead, train, and motivate subordinates to promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
13.Monitor and analyze key quality KPIs and report findings to management for strategic decision-making.
1. Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech in Plastics, Mechanical, or a relevant technical field. CIPET qualification preferred.
2. Having 8 to 12 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in rigid plastic packaging dealing with the customers.
3. Strong knowledge of QA systems, documentation, and plastic molding processes (Injection, Blow, etc.).
4. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 5. Ability to train teams and implement quality improvements on the shop floor.
6. Working knowledge of MS Office and QA documentation tools.
1. Immediate Joiners will be preferred.
2. Comfortable to do work from office/Plant at assigned location.
