Responsible for ensuring quality across fabrication, welding, and assembly processes. Oversees inspections, manages QMS, ensures compliance with standards, and leads continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of heavy fabrication and SAW/MIG welding is essential.
Implement and maintain QMS; support internal/external audits.
Oversee quality control for SAW/MIG welding, WPS/PQR compliance, and welder performance.
Inspect heavy fabricated components for dimensional and welding quality.
Coordinate NDT activities (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) and review reports.
Lead defect analysis, root-cause investigation, and CAPA actions.
Maintain quality documentation, reports, and traceability records.
Supervise quality inspectors and guide welding/production teams.
Manage customer inspections and vendor quality compliance.
Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in relevant engineering fields.
Level 2 Quality/NDT certifications (Welding Inspector/ASNT/ISO).
Strong knowledge of welding processes, WPS/PQR, fabrication standards, and NDT.
Experience in heavy fabrication units, structural manufacturing, or engineering workshops.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
