Job Description


Job Purpose

To plan, implement, monitor, and continuously improve quality standards, patient safety, and compliance with hospital accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Safety & Quality:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain hospital Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Monitor patient safety indicators, clinical outcomes, and risk management
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis RCA) for incidents, near misses, and sentinel events
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Accreditation & Compliance

  • Lead hospital accreditation activities (NABH / JCI / ISO, as applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate internal audits, external audits, and surveillance assessments
  • Maintain and update quality manuals, SOPs, and policies

Audits & Monitoring

  • Plan and conduct internal quality audits across departments
  • Track non-conformities and ensure timely closure
  • Monitor KPIs, quality indicators, and dashboards
  • Report quality performance to management and committees

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct quality-related training and awareness programs for staff
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Support departments in process improvement initiatives

Documentation & Data Management

  • Maintain quality documentation and records
  • Analyse quality data and prepare reports for Quality Committee meetings
  • Ensure document control and version management

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with clinical, nursing, administrative, and support departments
  • Act as a liaison with accreditation bodies and regulatory authorities
  • Participate in Quality, Infection Control, Patient Safety, and Ethics committees

Note:

  • Prospective candidate should be open for travelling to all the Units as part of the job as and when it is necessary.
  • Min 2 to 7 days of Travelling in a month

Qualifications

  • BDS/ MBBS with additional Quality certification preferred.
