Description
The Quality Lead for Solar EPC Projects is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of quality standards across all phases of solar power plant development. You will be responsible for compliance with industry best practices, client requirements, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement in quality management processes. Your key responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for solar EPC projects. You will ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IEC standards, and other relevant quality standards. Establishing and enforcing quality control procedures for design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases will also be crucial. You will define and enforce quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) policies, processes, and inspection plans. Conducting quality audits and ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and industry codes will be part of your role. In case of any quality deviations or non-conformities, you will perform root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Evaluating and auditing suppliers and vendors to ensure material quality meets project specifications will be essential. Working with procurement teams to set quality requirements and conduct inspections for purchased materials will also be a part of your responsibilities. Monitoring and inspecting solar PV module installations, inverters, trackers, cabling, and mounting structures to ensure proper workmanship is crucial. You will need to ensure civil, electrical, and mechanical works comply with engineering designs and quality standards. Implementing and overseeing site quality documentation, including test reports, checklists, and inspection records will also be important. You will oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final acceptance testing (FAT & SAT) of solar power plants. Ensuring all performance testing meets contractual obligations and industry benchmarks will be a key aspect of your role. Ensuring project compliance with national and international solar energy standards and local regulatory requirements will be part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate with third-party inspectors and certification agencies for project approvals. Developing training programs for site engineers, contractors, and workers to enhance quality awareness will be essential. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing project performance and implementing best practices will also be a part of your role. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control within the Solar EPC or Renewable Energy industry. - Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or other relevant quality certifications (preferred). Skills required for this role include a strong knowledge of solar PV technology, installation practices, and testing procedures. Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, NEC, NABCEP, and OSHA is essential. Proficiency in quality management software and reporting tools is also required. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills are crucial for this position.,
