Job Title: Quality Inspector

Role Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all manufactured components and finished agricultural implements meet defined quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with production teams to maintain consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incoming & In-Process Inspection

  • Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out parts, and components as per quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process inspections during fabrication, machining, welding, painting, and assembly stages.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and workmanship using measuring instruments.

2. Final Product Quality Assurance

  • Perform final inspection of finished agricultural implements before dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality checklists.
  • Identify defects and recommend corrective actions.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and rejection notes.
  • Prepare daily quality inspection reports and share findings with seniors.
  • Assist in maintaining quality manuals, SOPs, and inspection formats.

4. Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate with production, stores, and purchase teams for quality-related issues.
  • Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

  • 0–5 years of experience in quality inspection (manufacturing preferred).
  • Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
  • Good observation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on the shop floor and handle pressure.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to manufacturing processes.

Salary Range

  • Salary: As per industry standards and commensurate with experience and skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
