Quality Head - Manufacturing

Key Requirements:

• Must come from an

  equipment manufacturing background

  with hands-on exposure in at least

  three

  of the following areas:

  Fabrication, Machining, Assembly/Painting, Castings

• Strong experience in

  manufacturing plant operations

• Mandatory certifications and skills:

• NDT Level II/III

• Experience working in

  ERP QM Module

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

  with proven experience in implementation

• Preferred certifications:

• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

• Practical experience in

  PFMEA

  and related quality tools

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure product quality across fabrication, machining, assembly, and casting processes
• Implement and maintain quality management systems as per ISO 9001 standards

Role & responsibilities

1. Responsible for meeting Quality Assurance objectives of the organization by implementation, monitoring and reviewing suitable quality policies and procedures.

2. Responsible for maintaining the Quality Manual. Shall constantly review, audit and upgrade/amend the processes in Quality Manual and strive for zero defects/customer complaints.

3. Train and lead a team of Quality Inspectors tasked with ensuring procurement, manufacture and dispatch of only good quality products from the factory.

4. Responsible for maintaining the Customer Complaint Register. Shall identify and implement corrective and preventive action including warranty supplies & change in quality manual Shall co-ordinate with other departments as necessary and ensure speedy resolution of customer complaint on defect/deviation. A Register to be maintained

5. Ensure proper preservation & maintenance of all Inspection and quality records suitable for quick and easy retrievability.

1. Carry out additional duties as assigned from time to time by the Management.

2. Established & maintained QMS across the plant.

Preferred candidate profile

1. BE (Mechanical/Metallurgy) with minimum 10-15 years experience in Quality department of a Medium to Large scale Engg Industry with at least 2 - 3 years in Supervisory role or as an HOD.

PPAP, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis

3. Certification on the above tools and experience in castings and pattern inspection will be an added advantage.

NDT level II

5. Knowledge & certification on QMS (ISO 9001) is desirable.
