Quality Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to take charge of our QA teams and elevate our testing processes to a new level by prioritizing automation, standardizing procedures, instilling best practices, and implementing effective tools. The ideal candidate should possess a forward-thinking approach towards technology and demonstrate hands-on expertise in cultivating high-performance teams. Additionally, the candidate must have a proven track record in designing and constructing automation frameworks and tools for QA teams, as well as driving process and technological enhancements across the Engineering organization. Your primary responsibilities will include leading, managing, and mentoring technical QA teams, closely collaborating with Product and Engineering departments to ensure alignment with product roadmap timelines, defining and executing testing methodologies in coordination with Senior Leadership, and identifying opportunities to introduce an automation-first approach. You will also strategize and implement initiatives to enhance product and platform quality through the adoption of tools and processes, address technical testing challenges, and guide the team towards an optimized automation strategy. Furthermore, your role will involve leveraging your expertise in test automation and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation decisions, monitoring test metrics, collaborating with other engineering teams to address gaps, contributing technically to projects when necessary, and spearheading process improvement efforts to enhance overall Engineering practices. In terms of skills and competencies, the successful candidate should have experience with distributed Microservices architecture applications and End to End testing, proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium and scripting languages like Python and Java, familiarity with Backend test automation tools for batch jobs and server-side applications, a solid grasp of software testing methodologies, tools, and CI/CD pipelines, and the ability to develop and implement QA strategies using both open-source and proprietary technologies. Moreover, you should possess strong analytical capabilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and experience in managing distributed teams, along with a collaborative and communicative approach towards work. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, familiarity with Scrum methodologies and project management, and a track record of driving organizational change with cross-functional stakeholders will be advantageous. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, have at least 3 years of experience in people management, specifically overseeing SDETs and engaging effectively with colleagues across different departments, and possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Software testing domain, including designing automation frameworks, testing tools, and automation tests.,
