Job Title: Quality Engineer – Civil (Road Construction) Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years Location: Jharsuguda Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (Civil) with over 2 years of hands-on experience in road & Building construction projects . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities comply with quality standards and project specifications. You will play a key role in monitoring, inspecting, and improving quality across every stage of the project. Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems and procedures at the project site. Conduct routine inspections and tests on materials, processes, and final output to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Monitor road construction activities such as earthwork, subgrade preparation, granular sub-base, wet mix macadam (WMM), and bituminous works (DBM/BC). Review and verify test reports of construction materials (e.g., aggregates, asphalt, concrete) from the site laboratory. Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IRC, MORTH, BIS). Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and project managers to address quality-related issues. Prepare quality reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain documentation for audits. Assist in preparing method statements and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans). Ensure timely calibration of testing equipment and maintain calibration records. Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance as part of the QA process. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in QA/QC roles in road/highway construction projects . Good knowledge of IRC, MORTH specifications, and QA/QC procedures. Proficiency in quality documentation and report writing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Familiar with standard material testing techniques and lab equipment. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Preferred: Experience working on government or NHAI/State Highway Authority projects. Certification in QA/QC or relevant civil engineering quality standards. Reporting To: Project Manager Salary: Commensurate with experience and industry standards.
