Role Overview:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process activities, and finished products meet the companys quality standards. This role involves inspection, testing, documentation, training, and continuous improvement to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Incoming Material Quality Checking

    Inspect and verify quality of raw materials such as boards, ply, laminates, LPU, membrane, and other items before acceptance.
  2. Material & Product Inspection

    Conduct regular inspections of boards, plywood, laminates, and other materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  3. In-Process Quality Control

    Perform cutting size checks, assembly inspections, and ensure products meet required standards at every stage.
  4. Final Quality Verification

    Carry out final inspection and approval before dispatch to customers.
  5. Documentation & Reporting

    Maintain proper inspection records, store inspection pictures in the system, and ensure timely daily reporting to Quality Head/Management.
  6. Sampling & Testing

    Conduct sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products as per standards.
  7. Non-Conformance Handling

    Identify, segregate, and manage non-conforming materials with corrective actions.
  8. Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

    – Investigate recurring quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  9. Calibration & Monitoring

    – Ensure measuring instruments and tools are regularly calibrated and in proper working condition.
  10. SOP Compliance

    – Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during all quality processes.
  11. Team Training & Guidance

    – Provide training and guidance to workers on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  12. Continuous Improvement

    – Suggest improvements in processes, systems, and quality parameters to enhance overall product standards.
  13. Coordination with Departments

    – Work closely with Production, Purchase, and Dispatch teams to maintain quality consistency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Quality Engineering (or relevant field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control/Inspection (preferably in furniture, interiors, or manufacturing industry).
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques, sampling methods, and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and MS Office.
  • Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
