Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical and partition layouts 2. Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures Competencies and Skills Required The major skills and competencies required in a candidate are: 1. Familiarity with appropriate design and visualization tools 2. Must be highly creative and innovative in designing 3. Must have a thorough knowledge about construction materials and accessories 4.
