Incoming Quality Engineer
Job activities1) To perform inspection of raw material received in stores, planti) to keep record of material received in stores, plant dailyii) To take out related drawings, specification and technical standards for performing inspection. To view PO for viewing PO text and material master if required. requirement.iii) Co-ordination with stores to check the quantity verification done by stores. To locate the material ,get the material on inspection bench or place of inspection.iv) Arrange required tools, measuring instruments for inspectionVi) Get the inspection done according to the drawing, spec, standard and po requirement.Vii) Note deviations from requirements. If material is not found damaged take photographs.In case of deviations take photographs while inspection.Viii) Raise FIR for deviations in FIR format. Send the same in mail to concerned buyer, design engineer, planner, production cell leader, division SQM & in process engineere and storesix) Tag the material with hold sticker and shift in non- confirmance area.ix) Get the relevant information about the same and if the non-confirmance is ensured raise NCR in Minerva systemx) If it is decided from Cross functional team (production, technical, SQM) that material is to be rejected and no concession with or without rework is possible reject the material in SAP and generate RDN note. Send the RDN note to concern buyer, planner, production , SQMxi) For accepted material put acceptance tag . After inspection basic packing like wrapping keeping the material in original box to be ensured. Inform Stores to shift the material to stores designated racks.xii) Clear the QM lot in SAP.xiii) To perform necessary activities, transaction in SAP for sending material for rework if any.xiv) After the material is received after rework , re inspect the material .xv) Keep all relevant inspection records as per quality plan.xvi) Keep soft copy and hard copy record of control plans ( inspection Check lists)2) Handling and developing Team of inspectorsi) Train and guide inspection workmenii) Maximize productivity, maintain accuracy of inspection.iii) Maintain EHS records. Take care about safety of inspectors working under him.iv) To distribute load of inspection and ensure that all material are cleared as per KPI and division requirements.3) Calibration of Measuring and material handling instruments/ equipmentsi) Keep records of calibration certificates, list of calibrated instruments.ii) Get the annual PO for calibration, inspection of instruments, equipment done well in timeiii) Send the instruments and equipment to calibration agency for calibration and testing. Do necessary co-ordination with stores.4) Material test certificates verification:i) Get , store soft copy , hard copy of material test certificates from buyer for the incoming and inspected goods.ii) Verify the material test certificates asper relevant QAP requirements, standards,

5) MIS preparation
i) preparation and sharing necessary MIS reports for GBS KPA SLAs and Reports required by Division SQM.

6) Audits :
Undergo internal, external, customer audits and produce all necessary inspection records as per QMS,EHS requirements. Support division in audit records , documents forincoming quality.

Education and Experience background:
i) Diploma, degree in mechanical/electrical engineering from reputed recognized institute with good academic records . Experience of min 2 years will be added advantage.ii) Good computer handling skills in recordkeeping. Well conversant in MS office, excel ,SAP skills.iii) Knowledge and experience in handling customer audits, System audits in ISO900 , ISO14001 will be added advantage.iv) Must have handled team of workmen for quality department, inspection related work. Well conversant with the drawing , standards and specification reading.
