Quality Engineer - Automotive Wiring Harness

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Control

• Monitor and inspect wiring harness production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  
• Review drawings, specifications, control plans, and inspection standards.
  
• Conduct in-process, pre-dispatch, and final inspections of wiring harness assemblies.
  

2. Customer Quality

• Handle customer complaints, perform root cause analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D), and implement CAPA.
  
• Coordinate with customers for quality issues, audits, and approval processes (PPAP, APQP).
  

3. Supplier Quality

• Inspect incoming materials (components, connectors, terminals, cables).
  
• Coordinate with suppliers for quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
  

4. Documentation & Standards

• Prepare and maintain quality documents such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and SOPs.
  
• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
  
• Maintain complete traceability of materials and finished goods.
  

5. Process Improvement

• Identify process deviations and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Participate in internal audits and quality system audits.
  
• Support new product development trials from a quality perspective.
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of automotive wiring harness manufacturing processes.
  
• Hands-on experience in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and other quality tools.
  
• Proficiency in inspection tools and gauges.
  
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
  
• Knowledge of IATF standards is a must.
  

Working Conditions:

• Shift-based operations depending on production requirements.
  
• Shop floor & quality lab activities.
