Quality Control Inspector

As a Quality Control Inspector at Jaipur Living, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our beautiful rugs meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. Your keen eye for design, texture, color matching, and craftsmanship will be essential as you inspect raw materials, monitor production processes, and evaluate finished products. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect Raw Materials: Before production begins, you will meticulously check yarns, dyes, and other materials to ensure they meet our quality standards. - In-Process Inspection: Throughout the weaving, dyeing, and finishing stages, you will monitor the processes to identify and address any defects early on. - Final Product Inspection: Once the rugs are completed, you will examine them for size, color accuracy, design alignment, knots per inch, finishing, and any physical defects. - Defect Documentation: Any issues or non-conformities you discover will be promptly recorded and reported to the production and quality teams. - Corrective Actions: You will work closely with weaving teams and supervisors to ensure that any quality issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner. - Maintain Records: Keeping detailed records of all inspections is vital for audits and continuous improvement efforts. - Customer Standard Compliance: It is imperative that all products meet both our internal standards and those required for export. - Continuous Improvement: Your insights and suggestions for process improvements will be invaluable in minimizing defects and enhancing product quality. Required Skills: - Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to inspecting rugs and understanding various production techniques. - Color Matching: Basic knowledge of color matching and visual inspection techniques is essential. - Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret design blueprints and specifications. - Communication Skills: Strong communication and reporting abilities are necessary for effective collaboration. - Physical Fitness: Being physically fit to handle on-site inspections of large rugs is required. - Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Excel or quality reporting software is advantageous. Qualifications & Experience: - Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years in quality control within the textile industry is mandatory. - Education: A degree or diploma in Textile Technology, Fabric Science, or Apparel Production is preferred.
