Job Description

Kewal Engineering Pvt. Ltd is an IATF 16949 certified manufacturer specializing in precision machined components for automotive, industrial, and medical applications. As a Quality Inspector at Kewal Engineering Pvt. Ltd, your role involves performing in-process and final inspection of precision machined components using standard metrology instruments. You will be responsible for interpreting mechanical drawings to ensure components meet dimensional and geometric tolerances. Utilizing instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and other gauges for inspection is a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will operate and interpret reports from Video Measuring Systems (VMS) and non-contact measuring equipment. Your tasks will include preparing and maintaining inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality documentation. Monitoring process quality, raising alerts for deviations from standards, coordinating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis for defects, and supporting calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments are all essential aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Perform in-process and final inspection of precision machined components using standard metrology instruments. - Interpret mechanical drawings and ensure components meet dimensional and geometric tolerances (GD&T). - Use instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, plug gauges, etc. for inspection. - Operate and interpret reports from Video Measuring Systems (VMS) and other non-contact measuring equipment. - Prepare and maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality documentation. - Monitor process quality and raise alerts for any deviations from quality standards. - Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues. - Conduct root cause analysis for defects and assist in implementing corrective actions. - Support calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments. Qualifications Required: - Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering. - Sound knowledge of GD&T basics and ability to read & interpret technical drawings. - Proficiency in handling manual inspection tools such as vernier calipers and micrometers. - Experience in VMS or other optical measuring tools is a strong plus. - Familiarity with basic quality management systems and documentation. - Basic knowledge of MS Excel / Word for report preparation. - Good communication and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and ensure quality at each stage of manufacturing.,
