As an IATF 16949 certified manufacturer specializing in precision machined components for automotive, industrial, and medical applications, you will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspection of precision machined components using standard metrology instruments. Your role will involve interpreting mechanical drawings to ensure components meet dimensional and geometric tolerances (GD&T) and utilizing instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, plug gauges, etc. for inspection purposes. You will also operate and interpret reports from Video Measuring Systems (VMS) and other non-contact measuring equipment and be tasked with preparing and maintaining inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality documentation. Monitoring process quality and promptly raising alerts for any deviations from quality standards will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to address quality-related issues, conduct root cause analysis for defects, and provide support in implementing corrective actions. Furthermore, you will play a key role in supporting the calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. To excel in this role, you are required to hold a Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering and possess sound knowledge of GD&T basics along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency in handling manual inspection tools such as vernier calipers and micrometers is essential, and experience with Video Measuring Systems (VMS) or other optical measuring tools would be advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with basic quality management systems and documentation, basic knowledge of MS Excel/Word for report preparation, good communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities are necessary. Your role will also require you to work independently and uphold quality standards at each stage of the manufacturing process.,
