Sanmar Group is Hiring for Quality Control for Sanmar Matrix Metals Limited for Viralimalai location. Key Purpose of the Job : Responsible for establishing and implementing quality management systems in machine shop. Educational Qualification / Experience required : Diploma in Mechanical with 5-8 years of experience from machining industry. Key Responsibilities : 1. Establish and implement Quality Management systems. 2. To aim for 100% defect free parts produced and despatched. 3. To effectively handle customer queries/complainats. 4. Monitor and review Quality control activities. Indicative Tasks Competencies (all competencies required to carry out this key responsibility and indicative tasks) 1. Establish and implement Quality Management systems. Establish and implement procedures and work instructions with respect to Quality. - Knowledge on process and products - Knowledge ISO standards and regulations - Have an eye for details - Execution Excellence - Knowledge on Quality standards Monitor and review the documents related to ISO requirement. Ensure the documents are up to date and has relavant details required. Chart internal audit schedule and ensure the schedule is adhered. Monitor and review the checklists and audit reports and identify non-conformance. Follow up wioth respective department for the corrective actions to close the non-conformance. Co-ordinate and handle all external audits. 2. To aim for 100% defect free parts produced and despatched. Conduct Quality Improvement Team meetings periodically and implent the improvements. - Analytical Ability - Documentation skills - Ability to take decisions - Knowledge on various test methods for different grades Analyse and identify the root cause for the non conformance (internal/external). Ensure all the qulaity corrective actions are documented as per ISO requirement. Visit subcontractors/vendors on monthly basis to monitor and apporve the procedures and systems. Ensure on time preparation and submission of quality related MIS. 3. To effectively handle customer queries/complainats. Prepare PPAP documents for new prroducts and co-ordinate with customers for clearance. - Communication skills - Team Management Ensure PNCR is with agreed limits. Effectively handle customer queries regarding PPAP and other quality standards. Ensure customer rejections are addressed immediately to avoid re-ocuurance. 4. Monitor and review Quality control activities Interact with QC inspectors on rejections, reworks on the inhouse and sub contracted items and sort out issues if any. - Knowledge on handling test equipments - Knowledge on CMM machine operations - Knowledge on 5S and safety Monitor and ensure the lab testings are carried as per derived quality plan. Ensure adherence to 5S and safety procedures Review and ensure the calinration schedule is adhered. Prepare annual budget for AMC (calibration) and procurement of new equipments. Co-ordinate with external labs and follow up on priority castings.
