We are Looking for a Quality Control (QC) role in sheet metal fabrication ensures parts meet specifications by inspecting dimensions, materials, and finishes using tools like calipers and gauges, identifying defects (warping, misalignment), performing root cause analysis, calibrating equipment, approving first/last pieces, maintaining standards (ISO, AWS), and collaborating with production for continuous improvement, preventing costly errors and ensuring product safety. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Measurement: Verify dimensional accuracy (straightness, flatness, etc.) against blueprints and tolerances using various measuring instruments. Defect Detection: Identify flaws like warping, poor welds, incorrect cuts, or surface imperfections. Process Monitoring: Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring consistency. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO, ASME, AWS) and customer requirements. Equipment Management: Calibrate and maintain QC measuring tools. Documentation: Prepare reports, maintain records, and update control charts. Collaboration: Work with engineering, production, and management to drive quality improvements.
