Job Description

Position Overview: Ensure quality standards are maintained and quality initiatives/improvements are ongoing and effective throughout the Indian facility. Compile Quality control reports, Create statistical process control metrics, manage non-conformity material discrepancy reports and recommend continuous improvement activities. Key Responsibilities: Activity A:Quality Inspections Percentage: 40% Compile all Quality Control reports, create statistical process control metrics, non-conformity material, discrepancy reports, recommend and continuous improvement activities. Provides input to the long-term planning process & build SPIs as required. Supplier selection, assessment and evaluation of each material as per ISO and ensure the same quality maintained. Inspection and controlling of in-house activities and purchases from the suppliers. Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan for both import and export jobs. Reviewing of job file before going into the shop floor and working out whether there are any deviations, stage wise. Thorough understanding of inspection & testing of various transformer components/materials. Handling of Customer Complaints. Recording nonconformance & assist respective departments in finding RCA & implementation of corrective action. Exposure in establishing & implementing Vendor Qualification & Assessment Systems. Continuous Improvement initiatives. Activity B:Record Maintenance & Process implementation Percentage: 30% Process inspection and updating the record of inspection status. Preparation for process inspection and updating the record. Validating and recording actual vs observation values in inspection records. Calibration, identification, categorization of instrument and maintain the respective records. Maintain list of quality records concerning to their respective departments. Maintaining, updating and controlling the Quality ISO documents. Activity C: Continuous Improvement Percentage: 30% Control of all quality related activities and continuous improvement and constant review stage wise process. Investigate and record customer complaints regarding product performance, specifications and reliability. Reviewing and improving the existing standards and documents. 3 to 5 years of experience in Implementation of Quality Management, EHS Management, Organizational Excellence, Process Enhancements Knowledge of Quality Management Systems & implementing continual improvement tools & techniques. Well versed with ISO9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001. Proficient in implementing SPC, FMEA, 7 QC Tools. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & WORK CONDITIONS: Bachelor Degree (BE/B.Tech) or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree. 3 to 5 years of progressive Quality experience in Power transformers industry.. Knowledge on Management systems like Q.M.S, E.M.S & OHSAS. Working with Purchase Dept. to establish quality requirements from external suppliers. Communicating with the suppliers and finalizing the corrective actions during the stage wise inspection. Inspection of all material procured & in-house manufacturing, Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks. Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal and motivational skills. Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. Should have good knowledge on MS office to analyze using spreadsheets & make presentations, preferably any ERP. Local language is a must along with English and Hindi. The Person will be based in our office in India. All prospective employees must pass a background and Health checks.
