Quality Assurance Lead

As a Lead Quality Analyst with 10 years of relevant experience, your responsibilities would include developing and maintaining testing strategies for the Quality Assurance of our Digital offerings. You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by closely collaborating with software developers, participating in technical/feature discussions, and assessing associated dependencies and risks. Understanding requirements and designing test cases that meet product specifications will be crucial, along with assisting the team in designing, developing, and maintaining test plans and test suites. Your role will also involve having a strong knowledge of API testing and Performance Testing, as well as significant experience in test automation (UI) and API automation. Executing test suites, managing defects, and effectively communicating testing status will be part of your daily tasks. You will analyze the root cause of testing failures, open appropriate defects with sufficient findings, and focus on quality, continuous improvement of tests, and test efficiency. Collaboration with stakeholders, mentoring new team members, and working in a multidisciplinary Agile team will be essential. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will be responsible for release testing and ensuring the quality of the product. Adhering to Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions, caring for colleagues and the business, and conducting tests in various environments (e.g., QA, Staging, UAT, and Production) are crucial aspects of the role. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD pipelines) and knowledge of Version Control and branching strategy are must-haves. Ensuring adherence to design standards, reviews, coding standards, code quality checks, testing standards, and reviews will also be part of your role. Your background should include a B.E/B.Tech (EEE/ECE/CSE) degree with over 10 years of experience as a Quality Analyst. You should have experience in writing test plans, executing test cases for web applications, and conducting UI testing. Strong knowledge and work experience in automation tools like Selenium, WebDriver IO, Cypress, Playwright, etc., as well as proficiency in programming languages emphasizing OOPs concepts like C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, will be required. Experience in testing APIs using tools like POSTMAN, SOAPUI, REST-Assured, and automating APIs is essential. Furthermore, you should have experience in functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing, along with being responsible for Releases. Possessing strong decision-making skills, experience with performance and security testing, and a background as a Business Analyst would be advantageous. Being self-dependent, self-motivated, having structured work habits, and driving creative innovation with strong ownership in IT and OT technologies will be beneficial.
