Quality Assurance Engineer

As a member of the Quality Engineering team at Techdome, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products maintain the highest quality standards through the implementation of robust automation testing frameworks and best practices. Your role will involve reviewing requirements, creating detailed test plans, executing manual and automation tests, tracking defects, and collaborating with developers to enhance product quality. In the realm of Manual Testing, your tasks will include analyzing technical documents to formulate effective test plans, conducting manual tests for web and mobile applications, identifying and documenting bugs using tools like JIRA and TestRail, performing various types of testing (functional, regression, exploratory, usability), ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and validating data integrity through database testing using SQL queries. In Automation Testing, you will design and develop automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium (Java), Cypress, Playwright, and Appium. Additionally, you will automate API testing with Postman and Rest Assured, maintain automated test scripts, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing, and focus on test coverage and efficiency. Your responsibilities will also extend to Quality Assurance and Process Improvement where you will collaborate with developers to report and track defects, propose and implement process enhancements, optimize testing strategies, ensure adherence to QA best practices and industry standards, and stay updated on the latest testing tools and methodologies. To excel in this role, you should possess 2-3 years of experience in manual and automation testing, strong proficiency in Selenium with Java, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium, hands-on experience in API testing with Postman and Rest Assured, solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies, familiarity with test management tools like JIRA and TestRail, knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD), excellent problem-solving abilities, debugging skills, SQL expertise for database testing, effective communication skills, teamwork capabilities, and ideally, an ISTQB certification.
