Job Description

Role & responsibilities

DS-MAX is hiring for Site Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed
quantity take-offs
from drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Prepare and maintain
daily/weekly progress measurements
and quantity tracking at site.
Assist in preparing
cost estimates, rate analysis, and budget forecasts
.
Verify subcontractor bills, vendor invoices, and certify work quantities executed at site.
Ensure compliance with project
cost control procedures
, commercial terms, and contract conditions.
Coordinate closely with
site engineers, planning, procurement, and project managers
.
Evaluate and monitor
material consumption
and reconcile material usage.
Assist in preparation of
variation claims, change orders
, and cost implications.
Review civil/structural drawings to identify discrepancies and raise queries (RFIs) if needed.
Maintain updated records of measurements, progress claims, and cost-related documentation.
Support the preparation of
monthly cost reports
and client billing documentation.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying practices, site measurement, and cost control.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software/tools
.
Good understanding of
high-rise construction methods
, reinforcement, shuttering, concrete works, and finishing items.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with site teams.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in
Civil Engineering
or
Quantity Surveying
.
3–7 years of relevant experience as a QS Engineer in
high-rise construction projects
.

Preferred

Experience working with major contractors/developers.
Exposure to cost management software (Candy/CCS, Primavera, etc.) is an advantage.
