Job Description:
The QC/QA Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet the required quality standards and specifications. The candidate should have strong knowledge of building construction materials, methodologies, and standard testing procedures, particularly in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements for civil and structural works.
Perform technical supervision of ongoing civil and structural work at project sites.
Verify and inspect the quality of materials received on-site (cement, steel, tiles, sand, aggregates, etc.) and prepare material quality reports, noting any defects.
Conduct routine material testing and coordinate with third-party agencies for inspections.
Maintain and update all QA/QC documentation, reports, and test records in compliance with ISO and project standards.
Implement QA/QC systems and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and review quality control plans, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards during all quality control processes.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of concrete and structural technology.
Familiarity with construction materials specifications, testing standards, and construction methodologies.
Good knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
Proficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
