QA Tester MMORPG Game Testing

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced anddetail-driven QA Tester with a minimum of 1+ years in video game testing,ideally with hands-on experience in MMORPGs. The candidate must possess a deep understanding of persistent online worlds,live environments, and the complexities of multiplayer systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the gameustability, quality, and player satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Test MMORPG game features suchas quests, combat systems, skill trees, guilds, in-game economy, andmultiplayer interactions. Execute test plans, performad-hoc and exploratory testing, and verify bug fixes. Perform regression, smoke, andsanity testing for each release build and live patch. Conduct end-to-end testing inmultiplayer and online environments to validate sync, lag, disconnection, andmatchmaking issues. Log, track, and validatedefects using JIRA or other bug tracking tools with detailed reproductionsteps. Collaborate with development,design, and live operations teams to troubleshoot and isolate critical issues. Assist in updating test plans,writing test cases, and maintaining documentation throughout the testinglifecycle. Participate in gameplaythroughs, test different player classes, factions, gear types, and contentloops to assess balancing and design gaps. Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experiencein QA testing, preferably with a focus on multiplayer or MMORPG titles. Strong knowledge of MMORPGsystems including PvE/PvP, world events, crafting, trading, and characterprogression. Hands-on experience with bugtracking tools like JIRA, and test case tools like TestRail. Ability to troubleshoot complexissues and replicate bugs in a networked environment. Good analytical andcommunication skills; ability to clearly document and report findings. Flexibility to test undershifting priorities and during live server events and patch releases. Passion for gaming,particularly online multiplayer or MMORPG genres. Preferred Qualifications: Experience testing on PC andconsole platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox). Familiarity with backendservice testing or game telemetry review. Basic understanding ofautomation tools or scripting is a plus. Exposure to LiveOps models orseasonal update testing.
