Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Responsibility 1 Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Plans: The Manager QA is responsible for designing and

implementing comprehensive quality assurance plans that align with the organization's overall quality objectives. Identify

potential risks, define testing procedures, and establish quality control measures.

Responsibility 2 Internal Audit and Training: The Manager QA conducts or oversees internal audits to assess the

effectiveness of the organization's quality assurance processes. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective

actions to enhance overall quality.

1. Conduct/oversee the first internal audit training by December 15th.

2. Identify team members who require internal audit training.

3. Initiate monthly rotating internal audits.

MRM Meetings

1. Conduct MRM (Material Review Meetings) and convert monthly meeting minutes into MRM minutes.

Responsibility 3 Quality Manual and Procedures

1. Review and update the AS9100D manuals, procedures, and forms as needed.

2. Documentation: The Manager QA regularly reviews and updates quality manuals, procedures, and forms to

ensure they reflect the latest standards and requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for

regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibility 4 Implementation of Inspection Process (I/P)

1. Review the current use of I/P (Inspection Process) and develop a plan to implement I/P for all steps.

2. Determine the requirements for implementing I/P in terms of education, hardware, and manpower resources.

Responsibility 5 – Quality Metrics Review: The Manager QA tracks and analyzes quality metrics, such as COQ

(Certificate of Quality), reworks, and rejections. Identify trends, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions

to improve quality performance.

1. Review current quality metrics, including COQ (Certificate of Quality), reworks, and rejections.

2. Establish quality goals to be achieved in the future.

Responsibility 6 – Equipment Calibration

1. Review the calibration status of all equipment and send equipment for calibration as necessary.

Responsibility 7 – Final Inspection and Shipping Approval

1. Conduct final inspections and provide shipping approval for products ready for shipment.

Responsibility 8 – Lead and Manage the QA Team: The Manager QA oversees the team of quality assurance

professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Delegate tasks, monitor progress,

and ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.

Technical Authority

1. Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures: The QA manager has the authority to establish

and enforce quality assurance standards and procedures across all departments and processes.

2. Approve or reject products and services: The QA manager has the final say in whether products and services

meet quality standards before they are released to customers.

3. Stop production or shipments in case of quality issues: If the QA manager identifies a critical quality issue that

could harm customers or damage the company's reputation, they have the authority to halt production or

shipments until the issue is resolved.

Management Authority

1. Assign and manage the QA team: The QA manager is responsible for leading and managing the QA team,

including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance reviews.

2. Establish quality improvement initiatives: The QA manager has the authority to identify areas for quality

improvement and implement initiatives to address them.

3. Recommend changes to quality-related policies and procedures: The QA manager can suggest changes to

quality-related policies and procedures to improve overall quality performance.

Communication Authority

1. Communicate quality issues to senior management: The QA manager has the responsibility to keep senior

management informed about quality issues, trends, and risks.

2. Represent the QA department in meetings and discussions: The QA manager acts as the spokesperson for the

QA department in meetings and discussions related to quality assurance.

3. Communicate quality information to customers and stakeholders: The QA manager may be responsible for

communicating quality information to customers and stakeholders, such as providing product quality reports or

responding to customer inquiries.
