QA Automation Manager

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of QA Automation Engineers.
  
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, and growth paths for team members.
  
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top QA automation talent.
  

QA Strategy & Execution

• Own and drive the QA automation strategy aligned with product and engineering roadmaps.
  
• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks supporting frequent, global SaaS releases.
  
• Strengthen CI/CD testing processes with coverage across UI, API, backend, and AI layers.
  
• Integrate quality assurance automation throughout the SDLC.
  

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to define acceptance criteria, quality goals, and release metrics.
  
• Establish testing standards, KPIs, and success metrics with engineering leadership.
  
• Advocate for efficient, scalable QA practices and enable teams with the right tools and systems.
  

Process & Quality Improvements

• Champion best practices in test automation, tools, and methodologies.
  
• Continuously improve QA processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  
• Oversee test data management, environments, and defect tracking.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry, enterprise, and security standards.
  
• Perform additional related duties as needed.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  
• 7+ years in software testing/QA, including 3+ years in QA leadership roles.
  
• Strong expertise with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  
• Solid understanding of enterprise SaaS, microservices, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
  
• Proven experience scaling automation for large, distributed applications.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  
• Experience working in globally distributed, remote-first environments.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying AI/ML in QA: test design, creation, defect prediction, RCA, and self-healing automation.
  
• Familiarity with AI-driven testing platforms and intelligent test automation.
  
• Data-driven QA capabilities, including predictive analytics for test optimization.
  
• Strong knowledge of shift-left testing and continuous testing best practices.
  
• Experience with AI-enhanced exploratory testing and RPA for regression workflows.
  
• Expertise in scalable test architecture spanning functional, performance, security, and reliability testing.
  
• Cloud-native QA experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and service virtualization.
  
• Knowledge of performance and reliability techniques, including chaos and resilience testing.
  
• Experience integrating QA into modern DevOps toolchains.
  
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as AI copilots, LLM-based test generation, and intelligent defect tracking.
