Position: Python FastAPI Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an expert-level Python Engineer with strong experience in building high-performance backend systems using FastAPI, Redis (RQ), and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with REST APIs, parallel task processing, and modern cloud/container environments.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend services using Python + FastAPI.

· Implement parallel/async job queues using RQ (preferred) or Celery.

· Work with Redis DB for caching, queues, and temporary storage.

· Design and integrate secure RESTful APIs, including OAuth2 authentication.

· Implement database models and queries using PostgreSQL & ORM tools.

· Use Pydantic for data validation and typing for clean, maintainable code.

· Integrate external APIs and services using httpx/requests.

· Deploy applications using Docker & Kubernetes.

· Utilize Uvicorn for app serving in production environments.

· Write unit/integration tests for reliable deployments.

· Work on Payment Gateway integrations (Stripe/PayPal/Razorpay/etc.).

Required Skill Set

· 5+ years professional Python engineering experience (Expert).

· Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI.

· Experience with RQ (preferred) OR Celery for background jobs.

· Proficiency with Redis DB and PostgreSQL.

· Understanding of ORM tools (SQLAlchemy, Tortoise, etc.).

· Strong knowledge of Pydantic, typing, httpx/requests, Uvicorn.

· Experience deploying with Docker and working knowledge of Kubernetes.

· Experience integrating Payment Gateways.

· Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning capability.
