Role Overview

Backend + DevOps Engineer

What You'll Do

• Build scalable async processing pipelines for document classification, extraction, and validation
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining 99.9% uptime for document processing workflows
• Design and implement APIs for document upload, processing status, and results retrieval
• Manage Kubernetes deployments with autoscaling based on document processing load
• Implement monitoring and observability for complex multistage document workflows
• Optimize database performance for high-volume document metadata and processing results
• Build CI/CD pipelines for safe deployment of processing algorithms and business rules

Technical RequirementsMust Have:

• 5+ years backend development (Python or Go)
• Strong experience with async processing (Celery, Temporal, or similar)
• Docker containerization and orchestration
• Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) with cost optimization experience
• API design and development (REST/GraphQL)
• Database optimization (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
• Production monitoring and debugging

Nice to Have:

• Kubernetes experience
• Experience with document processing or ML pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Message queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Performance optimization for high-throughput systems
