PYP Teacher

**Job Description:** As a Primary Years Program (PYP) Teacher at Riverdale World School, located in Raipur, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing the PYP in alignment with IB standards. Your responsibilities will include: - **Curriculum Development & Implementation:** - Overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of the PYP curriculum, ensuring adherence to IB principles. - Collaborating with PYP teachers to plan and develop engaging transdisciplinary units of inquiry. - Fostering an inquiry-based learning culture and aligning curriculum goals with assessment standards. - **Leadership & Teacher Support:** - Providing leadership and mentorship to the teaching team for high teaching standards. - Coordinating team meetings and promoting reflection among faculty to enhance teaching practices. - Supporting new staff members in understanding and implementing the PYP framework. - **Assessment & Student Learning:** - Supporting teachers in assessment processes reflecting IB philosophy. - Monitoring student progress through appropriate assessments and leading PYP exhibitions for Grade 5 students. - **Parental & Community Engagement:** - Building partnerships with parents to support student learning and organizing workshops to keep them informed. - Engaging with the wider community to promote the school's values and IB philosophy. - **IB Accreditation & Compliance:** - Ensuring the school maintains its PYP authorization status and stays compliant with IB requirements. - Facilitating internal self-study processes and preparation for external evaluations. - **School Leadership Team Participation:** - Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school's smooth operation. - Contributing to the development of annual strategic plans and participating in school events and decision-making processes. **Qualifications and Skills:** - A degree in Education with a specialization in Primary Education. - IB PYP teaching experience and ideally, PYP coordinator certification. - Deep understanding of the IB PYP framework, strong leadership, and communication skills. - Ability to work in a dynamic environment, proficiency in technology for educational purposes. **Desired Attributes:** - Passion for nurturing a supportive learning environment. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Ability to inspire others towards educational excellence.
