Purchase Officer – Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate vendors and suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
• Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure cost-effective procurement
• Maintain updated records of purchased items, delivery information, and invoices
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements
• Ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues or discrepancies
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis and vendor performance

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing (1–2 years preferred)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiarity with purchasing software (e.g., Danaos)
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Attributes

• Knowledge of local vendor networks and logistics
• Experience in handling purchase documentation and compliance
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English) for vendor coordination

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
