Purchasing Officer

As a Purchase Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services while ensuring quality and cost effectiveness. Your main focus will be on timely delivery of raw materials to support uninterrupted production. It will be crucial for you to maintain accurate records of purchased products, delivery details, and invoices. In this role, you will develop and manage a vendor database, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure adherence to company policies. You will be in charge of raising Purchase Orders (POs), tracking deliveries, and maintaining proper documentation. It will also be part of your duties to monitor market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate better terms with vendors. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Commerce, Supply Chain, or related fields, and have at least 2 years of experience in procurement, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of GST, POs, Invoicing, and ERP software. Managing multiple vendors and maintaining thorough documentation will be key aspects of your daily responsibilities. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Chennai.
