Purchase Officer – Job Description Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate vendors and suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure cost-effective procurement Maintain updated records of purchased items, delivery information, and invoices Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements Ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues or discrepancies Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis and vendor performance Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field Proven experience in procurement or purchasing (1–2 years preferred) Strong negotiation and communication skills Familiarity with purchasing software (e.g., Danaos) Analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Preferred Attributes Knowledge of local vendor networks and logistics Experience in handling purchase documentation and compliance Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English) for vendor coordination Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location: In person
