Purchase Specialist

As a Source Vendor Specialist, your main responsibility will be to adhere to the Procurement Strategy by sourcing vendors as per the defined guidelines. Your role will play a crucial part in reducing delivery times, achieving cost savings, enhancing quality, and managing relationships with suppliers effectively. One of your key tasks will be to evaluate vendors both technically and commercially, ensuring that they meet the required standards. You will also be responsible for timely development of commodities to meet the organization's needs. This will involve traveling across PAN India and abroad to explore new vendor opportunities and strengthen existing supplier relationships. Your day-to-day activities will include collating purchase orders and requisitions, interacting with suppliers regularly, reviewing and tracking deliveries, and coordinating shipments to ensure timely receipt of materials. You will work closely with suppliers to confirm, modify, and track orders, as well as resolve any discrepancies that may arise during the delivery process. Furthermore, you will be in charge of expediting orders, preparing purchase requisitions, and processing purchase orders for equipment and supplies. Your role will also involve maintaining clear communication channels between suppliers and internal departments, ensuring smooth procurement operations.
