Job Description

The Purchasing Specialist - Vendor Management Analyst at Aeris plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing procurement processes. You will be responsible for managing purchase orders, tracking vendor performance, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with the Finance department to enhance procurement efficiency. To excel in this role, you should be well-versed in SAP Concur and ERP systems, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include: - Procurement & Purchase Order Management: Ensuring compliance with company policies while creating and approving purchase orders within SAP Concur. - Order Tracking: Monitoring orders from initiation to delivery to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. - Vendor Communication: Engaging with vendors to confirm lead times, order statuses, and obtain necessary documentation. - Reporting & Financial Collaboration: Developing and maintaining reports within the ERP system to track procurement metrics and expenditures. - Budget & Spend Analysis: Collaborating with Finance to support budget tracking and spend reporting, aligning with financial goals. - Process Improvement & Compliance: Identifying and implementing process improvements in procurement workflows. - Approval & Documentation Management: Coordinating internal and external approvals and maintaining accurate records of purchase orders and vendor communications. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role will include: - On-Time Purchase Order Fulfillment - Vendor Performance Metrics - Spend Compliance - Process Efficiency To qualify for this position, you should have: - Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. - Experience: 7-10 years in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management roles. - Technical Proficiency: Experience with SAP Concur, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. - Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications like CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or similar procurement certifications, industry experience in specific sectors, and familiarity with advanced tools such as Power BI for reporting purposes.
