Purchase Manager - Fabrication

Job Summary : We are looking for a dedicated and experienced person to manage end-to-end procurement operations by ensuring timely PR-to-PO cycles, effective vendor coordination, and adherence to delivery schedules. The incumbent will lead cost negotiations, maintain vendor benchmarks, and ensure accuracy in PO documentation and system entries.

Roles & Responsibilities :

I. Procurement Timelines

· Track PR-to-PO cycles to ensure timely processing and vendor adherence to delivery schedules.

· Coordinate with Planning, Stores, and Production teams to prioritize critical orders.

II. Negotiation & Cost Management

· Lead commercial discussions for large or bulk purchase requirements.

· Maintain vendor benchmarks and cost history to achieve optimal pricing.

III. Purchase Order (PO) Quality Control

· Review and validate POs for technical accuracy, commercial terms, and approval hierarchy.

· Ensure all entries in SAP/FMS are clear and aligned for Finance and Stores processing.

IV. Vendor Network Expansion

· Identify and develop new vendors to bridge technical, cost, or lead time gaps.

· Facilitate vendor evaluation, qualification, and trial PO processes.

V. Team Oversight & Support

· Guide junior buyers and procurement executives in day-to-day activities.

· Participate in quarterly performance reviews and internal procurement training initiatives.

· Ensure accuracy and ownership in documentation, follow-ups, and vendor communication.

· Represent the Purchase Department in interdepartmental planning and review forums

Skills Required

· Good knowledge of procurement processes and systems (SAP preferred)

· Vendor management and cost benchmarking expertise

· Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting ability

· Team player with attention to detail and a proactive work approach

· Transportation Facility : Company provide bus facility from Vadodara

Experience :
Minimum 7-10 years

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹660,000.00 per year
