About the Role

Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for procurement of
raw materials for nutraceutical products
.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to optimize cost savings.
Ensure timely availability of materials without compromising on quality.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams to align raw material requirements.
Monitor market trends, new raw material sources, and alternate suppliers.
Maintain purchase records, MIS, and vendor performance data.
Ensure compliance with statutory, quality, and company procurement policies.
Work closely with finance for budgeting and payment processing.

Key Skills Required

Strong knowledge of
nutraceutical raw materials
procurement.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Analytical mindset with cost optimization approach.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and regulatory compliances.
Proficiency in SAP / ERP systems (preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification & Experience

Graduate / Post Graduate in
Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Supply Chain / MBA
(preferred).
7–10 years
of experience in raw material procurement, preferably in Nutraceuticals / Pharma / FMCG industry.
