As a Procurement Specialist in the company, you will play a key role in managing sourcing and vendor relationships for raw materials essential to the production process. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for raw materials like wood, fabric, hardware, and other components. - Creating and managing purchase orders, tracking their progress, and ensuring timely delivery. - Analyzing and monitoring purchasing costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and ensuring the most cost-effective sourcing options. - Verifying the quality of materials and components, working with suppliers to address any quality issues. - Collaborating with inventory management to ensure sufficient raw materials are available while minimizing waste and storage costs. - Working with production planning to forecast material needs and ensure timely availability. - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, building trust and fostering collaboration. - Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
