Purchase Facade

As a Purchase Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the purchasing process within the organization. After familiarizing yourself with the existing system for 3 months, you will be expected to suggest and implement improvements, supported by relevant examples. It is crucial to maintain strong relationships with current vendors while also expanding the vendor base by evaluating their reliability. Creating rate charts and contracts to standardize operations, negotiating prices, and extending credit terms are key aspects of this role. Your vendor network should encompass suppliers, testing agencies, contractors, and consultants. Additionally, you will need to propose turnaround times for all processes and maintain a project-wise list for Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). Proficiency in scaffolding, powder coating, store management, wall types, and managing Material Test Certificates (MTCs) for each delivery is essential. Transport costs should be factored into all Purchase Orders (POs), and the transition of Post Dated Cheques (PDCs) to an online system within six months is expected. In terms of team management, you will lead a team of 4-6 individuals and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment. Your role will also require you to conduct market research, implement cost-saving strategies, and possess analytical abilities. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, with additional qualifications in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration being advantageous. A minimum of 12-15 years of experience as a purchasing manager or agent, familiarity with procurement software, and prior supervisory experience are essential for this position.,
